Ad-ver-tis-ing (noun): Profession of creating public demand for certain commodities through the use of various media sources

Carol Lloyd has been writing copy for advertisements as well as writing and producing radio jingles since she was 15. It is highly likely that she has been responsible for more than just one of the pesky little advertising slogans or product jingles that have at one time or another lingered in your brain for days on end.
